Dear
Kim:
It
is with great excitement that I find myself writing you this
letter in support of the “You Beat the Doc Jr” nutrition program
for grade school aged young people. It seems that now days
more than ever educators are constantly searching for ways
to make learning more interesting to their students while
at the same time providing them with needed information that
will absolutely have a direct effect on their lives as they
grow up.
It
is a proven fact as you well know that nutrition not only
affects the health and growth of a young person, it’s also
directly connected to learning and ones ability to be at their
best when the absorption of vital information during school
is most critical. You sir have not only found a fun way for
kids to learn, you have also created a way for schools to
raise much needed money when budgets around the country seem
to be getting tighter and tighter.
I
represent a fairly large urban school district with around
50,000 students. Approximately 50% of our student population
is what can be described as “At Risk” youngsters. If through
your program we can be more effective in the way we educate
children on the importance of nutrition in their everyday
lives, we are truly doing what we set out to do. Add to it
the caveat of allowing these kids to win prizes by achieving
certain levels while going through the learning process; we
have succeeded even more.
Kim,
It will be a privilege for me to introduce your program to
the more than seventy elementary schools in our district.
I also look forward to watching your success as this program
grows nationwide, and don’t hesitate to call me if I can ever
be of any assistance to you. Sincerely,

Marty
